On 22 January, Czech TV programme, Chcete mě? (Don’t you want me?) featured a story about animal testing with a focus on the No Cruel Cosmetics European campaign and on the Leaping Bunny certification. The programme featured interviews from Svoboda Zvirat, which manages the Leaping Bunny scheme in Czech Republic, and Manufaktura, the first Czech company to be certified under the Humane Cosmetics Standard.
Barbora Veclova of Svoboda Zvirat, speaks about the issue of testing cosmetics on animals and about the European-wide petition to ensure a full ban is implemented. She then talks about the merits of the product certification scheme for brands with a genuine policy against animal testing and Manufaktura advises why they think it’s important.
